My problem now is, while in the process of entering safe mode, the computer restarts. I tried all the boot options listed in the menu that comes out when F8 is pressed but I can no longer successfully boot including in normal mode.

Jul 14, 2006 · You have to select the option to boot the XP first and immediately press F8 after selecting that option there is at the moment no other way to get the options menu again. You have to be very quick (or hold F8 after selecting). HTH ko van Zeeland
